KLP Designs was set up by Kathryn Pike in 2004, the following goes a little towards explaining who Kathryn is and how KLP DesignS came about.

She is the designer and editor of Langley and Iver Rotary's bi-monthly magazine, Boogle, and is webmaster for the Richings Players website. She enjoys photography and dressmaking and regularly makes costumes for Richings Players productions.
For many years Kathryn designed and produced hand crafted invitations and table plans for family and friends. Kathryn's love of design took her to
Kathryn's first project after graduating came about when she was asked to design a table Plan for a family wedding, which was shortly followed by another. Requests for special designs for events were becoming more frequent. After taking time out to design her own wedding stationery Kathryn set up KLP DesignS.
Initially the greetings cards produced by KLP DesignS were very traditional in style and although loved by her clientele Kathryn saw that more and more people were producing designs with the same materials. Kathryn felt that she needed to find a unique style. So, in 2005 she combined her love of photography and card making and The Photographic Collection was born.

Following the success of the May show Kathryn decided to take a gamble and take only Photographic cards to the Christmas show that November. She produced a wider range of designs including many Christmas inspired images. The success of the May show was repeated and The Photographic Collection became the signature style of KLP DesignS.
In 2006 KLP DesignS' portfolio extended to include The Artists Collection featuring two talented artists. Martin Pike, Kathryn's father-in-law, who paints intricate watercolours and Lianne Issa, a close friend of Kathryn's, who creates incredible graphite portrait sketches. Although the KLP DesignS portfolio has changed the ethos has remained. Each card, table plan, poster and name place card are designed and created by Kathryn personally. KLP DesignS seek to make every design as individual and unique as the client.
